Incoming FFL Transfers
FIREARMS BEING SHIPPED TO HOFFMAN’S FROM ANOTHER FFL DEALER
Hoffman’s would be happy to assist you with the transfer of your firearm(s) from another FFL to our store. Please read below our transfer policies and associated fees. Questions? FFL@hoffgun.com or 860-666-8827
WHO CAN SEND US A FIREARM
1. A federally licensed dealer (FFL)
2. A federally licensed manufacturer
NOTE: Firearms can NOT be sent by individuals through a postal carrier.
RESTRICTIONS ON WHO CAN PICK UP THE TRANSFERRED FIREARM(S)
Only the purchaser can take possession of the firearm(s).
The recipient of the firearm must have the proper permit/certificates/identification/residency to take possession of the specific firearm(s). Any questions on what identification is required, contact us FIRST.
WHAT IS NEEDED TO REQUEST A TRANSFER
STEP 1Make sure that you have read and understood the policies and fees written on this sheet.
STEP 2 Complete the transfer request form below.
STEP 3 Hoffman’s will contact the FFL that you have chosen to ship us the firearm(s) and send them a copy of our license. NOTE: Hoffman’s will only send our FFL to another FFL.
WHEN CAN I PICK UP MY FIREARM(S)
The transferring FFL may give you tracking information for the shipment. HOWEVER, just because you receive notification that the firearm(s) is/are delivered it will not automatically be ready for pickup. Do NOT come down to the store without calling FIRST as you may be making a trip and the firearm would not be ready. Hoffman’s requires a 24 to 48 hour week day time period for processing incoming transfers. If you are transferring more than 2 firearms, please contact us at ffl@hoffgun.com or call (860) 666-8827 to arrange a date and time to pick up your transfer. CALL FIRST.
TRANSFER FEES
Our fee for receiving incoming transfers is $50.00 (per firearm) with current Connecticut Permit. Hoffman’s assumes no responsibility for the condition in which transferred firearms arrive at our store.
